I just want to take a minute to thank my friend Jeff. Last Summer, Jeff rang me asking if I’d like to help out on a run of shows for his new project @stillyoungca . By that point for me, it had been a year of shit times (family loss, love lost; just being lost and not knowing how to navigate.) Nothing would have made me happy then. But as I took a couple days to think about it, I would recollect on past times of ambition and sacrifice. Trying. Something I had completely given up on. Realizing then I had been shunning off the only thing that has ever brought me happiness. Music. I’m happy Jeff called. Thanks for calling, Jeff. I appreciate your work ethic and approach to music and respect you dearly. Thank you for letting me come along for the ride, friend. First slide 📸 @cmsturm

The new @spksftly EP ‘Unlike Mankind’ is out today! Right now! This is the first release I’ve made on my own at my apartment, along with the incredible encouragement and support from my brother @scottkgoodrich . I would have never tried recording at home had you not advocated for it on every single call we had for months. Thank you for that my dude, I really appreciate the help and you mixing these songs along with us doing some extra tracking while kicking it at your spot. Love you brother. While finishing the first mix, I was lucky enough to hear that my good friend @davidmichaelcraver had just begun his journey in the mastering game after having produced and engineered some incredible stuff for years. Scott and I were stoked to hit him up and luckily he was around and down. Thank you for putting the final touches on the songs. Finally I wanna throw a big thank you to @lovealexmartin for helping me get organized for the release. Your guidance has been paramount and I couldn’t have done it without you! We’re celebrating the release of the EP on April 19th at @artboutiki in San Jose with @shelbyhelburn and @mobinschild . Hope to see you there! Alright, so that’s it. I’m gonna go record.
