✨💋MARILYN💋✨ It’s no surprise Marilyn Monroe is my absolute favorite celebrity living or not.. her 100th birthday is next month and I am happy to see her celebrated so immensely still. Marilyn Monroe was so much more than the “dumb blonde” Hollywood tried to make her. She was intelligent, vulnerable, ambitious, and ahead of her time in ways the world is still catching up to. My favorite thing she ever did was sitting front row at an Ella Fitzgerald show and using her fame to help break barriers for a Black female artist in a segregated industry says everything about the kind of woman she truly was. She understood the power of visibility, influence, and lifting others up. As a woman and an artist, she inspires me deeply. Beneath the glamour was someone fighting to be taken seriously, to be heard, and to define herself on her own terms. I went on a mission to seek out the talented @mandie.strangefx she is a fantastic and creative SFX artist and I was beyond grateful to hang out with her. I am so excited to see what the future has in store for her and I will be waving a spooky flag in her honor with whatever she does 🦇 Running into @thecraftingcheese and meeting the @westernmassghostbusters was also a great bonus!
