We both share a deep reflection on how a capitalist image can oppress expression especially within the body of a woman. This work is part of that ongoing dialogue, a search, a resistance.

This piece HOLLOW that I created under my company, @bodypatchwork explores the feeling of losing touch with your essence, your heart.
I invited one of my favorite musicians, @marceuvrie , whose sound carries a quiet intensity that holds everything together.
@wrestlercave brings such strength, presence, and clarity into every movement, it was a powerful experience to let our very different yet deeply connected languages meet.
HOLLOW is still in development, and I’m far from done with what it has to say. Even when it’s hard to find the support or resources to carry work like this forward, I stay loyal to its message. I won’t give up until this piece reaches its fullest, truest potential.

Hungry for humanity.
What do you do with the ugly sensations imprinted in your body memory in a world obsessed with looking like a Barbie doll?
This is what I’m working on with my Siren character. The more those feelings are compressed behind that plastic image, the more monstrous the anger becomes.
In this dance, I blend delicate, celebrity-inspired poses with raw, animalistic movements inspired by my practice of Krump. It expresses the tension between today’s polished standards and the harsh truths beneath. 🕊️🔥

CRUZAMENTOS 🌎
CRUZAMENTOS was truly a dream come true.
As part of this inspiring collaboration between @lecarreaudutemple and @dancaemtransito , two French, two Brazilian, and two African artists came together to create a piece.
We spent two weeks in residency in Paris, followed by two weeks touring the work across Brazil.
It was an incredibly enriching experience, the kind of adventure that reminds me exactly why I do what I do as a dancer and choreographer: to travel, to exchange, and to create beautiful works that go beyond borders, cultures, and languages.
Bringing together different stories and artistic languages and finding a harmonious collaboration is at the very heart of the work I want to do. This is exactly what happened. We shared unforgettable moments, met amazing artists, and explored the vibrant energy of Brazil.
A huge thank you for making this possible. This experience will always stay with us and is something I will deeply cherish.

I am so grateful for @brusselsdancecontest 2022 giving me the jury’s price for my piece ‘Love Me’ at the @festivalantigone 🏆. It’s only the beginning of a long beautiful road of creation and connections with artists from all over the world. I’ll make the best use I possibly can to honor this trust.
Where do you come from ?
This is an ode to the family I never met and my Spanish roots. Cut roots. Unexplainable sensations circulating in the body. In search of a source, one clings dangerously to someone or something where there is resonance with those feelings. Dance allows me to let them live freely. To let speak a knowledge buried inside of me that won’t find words to express. My first and last great love is dance 🫀
