From ₦1 trillion in GWP in 2023 and projected ₦2.3 trillion in 2025, Nigeria’s insurance sector is quietly becoming the backbone of inclusive finance. Last week, I met with the Governor of the @cbnnigeria Central Bank of Nigeria to explore how we can go even further—towards ₦8 trillion in GWP by 2030 and a stronger, safer financial ecosystem for all Nigerians. The growth of fintech and lending has shown one thing clearly: banking cannot thrive sustainably without insurance. It’s insurance that absorbs the shocks, protects value, and enables trust—in lives, in credit, in trade, in property and in savings. At @gocasava , we’re not just selling policies. We’re working to embed insurance into everyday financial life—from ₦20 a day, reaching riders, traders, and workers across the country. But this work must go deeper. We need to think of insurance as infrastructure. As policy. As a national strategy. Because if we get this right, we can help build a Nigeria where setbacks don’t destroy futures, where trust fuels trade, and where prosperity can be planned—not prayed for.
