I am running the Chicago Marathon for my husband Josh
@bobojeg 🥰.
_
Why? He is a survivor of Pancreatic Cancer!! 10 years and counting 🥳
_
I am running the
@chimarathon with
@projectpurple to honor Josh and to let everyone out there know that there are SURVIVORS and there is HOPE.
_
I am running for the caregivers out there—I see you. I feel you. I know what it is like to go to sleep and wonder why it is hard to breathe— to hold the weight of the world, and to keep on going.
_
I am running for the kids out there who need/want their parents/grandparents/teachers/friends, etc. I had a 3 year old, and a 6 month old at diagnosis. It is beyond hard, but so worth it.
_
I am running for pancreatic cancer patients—the ones who don’t have an advocate or someone to cheer them on. I am cheering you on like there is no tomorrow—trust me. And I run for the ones who have advocates because every wish and prayer counts.
_
@projectpurple gives HOPE to patients and families through research, funding for early detection, and financial help so they can focus on surviving instead of the mortgage payment. I wish we had known about Project Purple 10 years ago- the stress of it all was unreal.
_
Josh- you are my hero! A miracle happened because of the people we surrounded ourselves with (family/friends/medical professionals), because of the countless medical procedures (chemo, radiation, surgery), natural remedies (millions or maybe billions of supplements 🤣🤣🤣), because we promised to do this for our boys, and because you trusted in me, and I never had a doubt in the world that we couldn’t move mountains.
_
My link is in my bio if you wish to contribute to
@projectpurple . As always, if you know anyone who has this disease, you can send them my way if they need a cheerleader or guidance.
_
This is why I run marathons 🥰💫
