Not just for what you did as a athlete but what you did for the world. 3-8-26 will forever be a day that changed bull riding. You showed the world how you brought people from all over together for the love of your Greatness and the way you touched people. I'm forever thankful for the time that God did give us with you. You transcended the sport of bull riding in a way that no other athlete ever has. You had a owner that loved Jesus and through you and your Greatness you allowed Millions all over the world to hear about our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. You brought a spotlight to Gene Owen because of your Unprecedented Level of Greatness that shined a light to the Kingdom of Heaven, for every Record broken, every Great out, Every Bull of the event won, and Every Championship when they interviewed Gene the First thing he did was give the credit to Jesus and speak about Our Lord and Savior. And For that Man Hater you touched Millions and Millions and allowed people to find Jesus through you.
I truly believe that there will never be another like you. You were 1 of 1... Every good and perfect thing comes from up above. You were as close to perfect as we've ever seen...
To some it may seem silly and make no sense at all the love that we have and had for you Man Hater, but for me it makes perfect sense. I understand it all so well. You walked in Purpose and you were a Servant in a different form than most would recognize or had ever seen. You had finished your race, you had completed what you were sent here to do and it was time for the Good Lord to call you home. I truly believe when you took your last breath here on earth early Sunday morning God was waiting right there for you. I can hear the words im sure he said "Job well done, Good and Faithful Servant."

Late Fall/Early Winter Big Blue Catfish.... Thank you God for the Gift of the Outdoors. Ain't nothing in the world like fighting one of these Big Old Warriors. Makes me feel like a kid all over again.
In memory of you Mammie, today marks a year on the calendar, but yesterday was the Sunday you left us a year ago to go home to be with the Lord. Your favorite thing in the world when I was growing up was for us to go Catfishing so yesterday I went Catfishing for us, with you looking down on me from up above I chose to honor you in a way I felt you and Granny would have loved. I have no doubt you were with me helping me reel them in. As I had one of my best days ever catching Big Catfish. How I wish you were here to enjoy them with me in the present but I know you were right there sitting beside me yesterday in the Spirit. I'm grateful you have no more pain, but not a days went by that I haven't thought about you and missed you. I know your in Heaven with God, Jesus, and the rest of those that have already been called home. I Love You and will continue to do all I can to make you proud. Can't wait until the day I see you again, until then I hold onto all the memories. Especially the fishing trips, I really don't know which one of us loved them more.

I don't post much anymore. For this one I had to. Bucket List. Ive been trying to catch a Big Flathead for over 40 years since I started fishing! Finally got one. Ive caught Big Blues and plenty of Channels but had never been able to catch a Flathead until lastnight. I was shaking like you couldn't imagine when I landed him. Dreams Do Come True!
