Out now!!
@bluuumiles and I are so stoked to share our full new album ‘Blank Slate, Open Space’ with everyone. It took a little while, but we’re finally here.
We hope everyone enjoys it, you can find it on all streaming platforms and you can grab the record on Bandcamp or @weallspeakinpoems webstore!
Huge thanks to @lukehowardmusic , @annannie & @sun_rain_music for helping make this one a reality!
Back in October we were at Chalet studios in Pickering, Ontario working on the structure and arrangements for some of the tracks off the new album. This was one of them.. 'Oversky' is one of my favourite tracks of all time, and I always knew I wanted to cover it and with @bluuumiles in the mix, I knew it was the time.
Oversky is originally composed by @lukehowardmusic .
Live version is now on Youtube.
The album version is out now on all platforms, check the bio!
I remember thinking about selling my saxophone a few years back. Before I started playing with JDO and I hadn’t really found a strong reason to keep this instrument in my life. A friend told me it would be stupid to sell it (even though $600 would have been nice).
Looking back 4 years, I am so grateful I decided to keep it and kept practicing! I now have my own saxophone music out under my name “Blu Miles”. I wouldn’t have been to make this happen without the support of @alaskantapes . Thank you for believing I could be valuable collaborator for these songs!
We have a whole album coming out but the first two tracks just released today. Go check them out! Link is in my bio.
Two very special tracks are coming out on Nov 14th, with an amazing video by @kylerose !
Blank Slate & Open Space with @bluuumiles pre-save is in my bio!!!
more info soon.
As we move into this New Year, we stand here grateful for what we have, proud of where we come from and curious about what the future holds. Thank you to everyone that has supported our musical endeavors in 2024 (and a special shout out to those that were listening in 2014 as well). More music will be had in 2025, we promise you that.
Comment below if you were at the 2014 TCK battle of the bands show at Hawthorne Theatre.
