Bluestocking Books is named after the 18th century term “blue stocking” that was used to describe a woman having intellectual or literary interests. Owner Kris Nelson says she took the name because ""it's time for a resurgence of reading women!""
@blusoxsd is one of the 15 participating independent bookstores for the 2026 #sdbookcrawl. Spending at least $10 there from April 25- 27th will get you a stamp in your passport! The more stamps you collect, the more prizes you’ll earn!
