Love that one. Love the lyrics.
My voice is a bit sick and a bit tired and the song is not in my key so I’m navigating between octaves, which is also nice. The second time around, I try to give the real bridge melody a chance and kind of manage okay but the interesting thing is, it got me much more into the emotion for the final verse. The original melody brings you there seamlessly and directly. Like a slide into the emotion of the song. That’s very beautiful to me :) Hats up to Arthur Kent, Dave Mason and Redd Evans :)

I love this song. Super basic and simple but great lyrics. It also reminds me of my first - and only - time attending the @jazz_in_marciac internship, where I met long time friends @maiabarouh and @elea_braaz , as well as @biscaybay__ and Maxime :) We learned this song in preparation for Charlie Hayden’s visit. One of us would be picked to sing it in front of him. My brain immediately went places - what if I sing and he liked it and then we make music together and ~~~~~…. I’m good at that :)
I didn’t get picked, but it was the first time I imagined a possible future for me as a musician, first time the idea actually formed in my brain. The whole internship was that seed planted in my brain. And this song encapsulates this very very happy moment for me.
Also, it feels good to sing light hearted songs sometimes ❤️

Hannah Miette est le nom de scène de Lucien Chatin, batteur lyonnais collaborant avec de nombreux artistes de folk, dont ses chansons reflètent l’influence et la sensibilité collective. Ses morceaux, en anglais ou en français, chantés ou instrumentaux, respirent le bois et l’espace, centrés sur la batterie et le soin minutieux apporté aux sons et textures.
