Our team hosted our annual Bring Your Kid to Work Day, inviting employees to bring their children to see the work they do firsthand and up close. The day featured hands-on activities and experiments, including a visit to our mission operations center.

Blue Canyon Technologies’ 6U CubeSat platform is powering the @earthspaceexplorationasu and @nasajpl SPARCS mission as it studies low-mass stars to better understand the habitability of the planets they host. ✨
With the delivery of its first images, SPARCS has reached a major milestone – confirming its instruments are performing on orbit and ready to begin full science operations.
These initial observations demonstrate the spacecraft’s ability to characterize stellar activity, a critical factor in determining whether surrounding planets could support life.
Built on Blue Canyon’s flight-proven, high-performing CubeSat technology, SPARCS is the first mission dedicated to continuously monitoring both far-UV and near-UV radiation from low-mass stars over extended periods.
Over its one-year mission, SPARCS will observe ~20 stars for up to 45 days each, delivering new insight into the environments that shape exoplanet habitability.
