Hi friends <3 ✨ Due to the weather forecast and the fact that our venue is largely outdoors in a beautiful garden, we have decided to postpone our Femme Rising Fundraiser to early 2025! We are obviously bummed about this but are so grateful for willingness to show up for us and our community. We can’t wait to party with y’all when the time is right! ❤️‍🔥❤️‍🔥 in the meantime, please continue to support Angel via her GFM linked in @onlyonrainydayz bio!!! And take good care during this rainy season! ☔️

We ask that all other attendees contribute a sliding-scale donation between $10 to $100. No one will be turned away for lack of funds, and larger donations will offset the cost of other attendees’ tickets. 50% of ticket sales will benefit QCC’s programming, while the remaining 50% will directly benefit queer and trans Palestinians in Palestine and throughout the diaspora through Muslim Alliance for Gender and Sexual Diversity (MASGD) mutual aid work. Please join us in solidarity, mourning, and community as we come together to remember and honor Palestinian martyrs. 🇵🇸Opening Reception: • June 7, 6-9 pm • Programming from 7-8:30pm • COVID Protocols: KN95/N95 masks will be provided and are required indoors to make this an accessible space for our community • Food & non-alcoholic beverages provided in the outdoor courtyard •Profits from ticket sales will be split between the Muslim Alliance for Gender and Sexual Diversity (MAGSD) and the Queer Cultural Center Performers for the opening reception: BAAITS Drum Circle @baaits sf @baaitsdrum The Bay Area American Indian Two Spirit drum group is a space for 2SLGBTQ+ indigenous people to learn and share intertribal songs and heal through the medicine of the drum. “In Solidarity” is a collective ritual offering to honor Palestinian martyrs and stand with the Palestinian liberation movement. At the June 7th opening reception, we invite you to contribute any offerings that are meaningful to you for our collective altars. These can include but are not limited to: flowers, herbs, protest pins, photos, etc. Due to gallery restrictions, we are not able to have smoke or open flames within the space, but if you would like to smudge or light incense you are free to do so outside. Please note that any offerings will remain in the space until after June 30th.

2023 was an incredibly fulfilling and abundant year for BLOOM 🩵💐✨ February to May was spent planning our second show, BLOOM Futures! BLOOM Futures featured 11 talented artists and was on display at Moments Co-op for all of June, and the opening/closing receptions and two artist talks were magical 💓🥹❤️‍🔥 then we celebrated the success of the opening reception with the artists by having a lovely dinner 🥂 In June we also partnered with @saveartspace and put up three billboards featuring local Oakland artists! Then in August we had a cute clothing and art swap at the lake to celebrate the end of summer 🦋 and just a few weeks ago, we came together and spent time in community creating art as resistance and healing together during our solidarity skillshare for Palestine 🇵🇸🍉🤍 we are endlessly grateful for everything we accomplished with your support this year and feel so lucky to be building community with you all 💕cheers to the new year! 🍾 #bloomecosystem
