Give to Gain. I’ve never understood this more deeply than I do today. 🩸 For five years from 2019 to 2024, I quietly showed up as a blood donor. No fanfare. Just a belief that my small, consistent act mattered to someone, somewhere. Then in 2024, I became that someone. Facing surgery, my active donor card placed me at the front of the line to receive blood. The community I had contributed to held me when I was most vulnerable. This International Women’s Day, I want every woman and every person to know: the donor community is one of the most powerful communities you can belong to. It asks so little and gives so much. ❤️‍🩹 So I’m asking you to join it. And what better way to step into another year of life than by giving life to others? 🎂 This March, I’m celebrating my birthday by hosting a blood drive with my friend. Because the greatest gift I could ever ask for is knowing that someone, somewhere, will make it home because you showed up.
