"Portucuco stand" 8A flash ⚡😁
One of my proudest moments of the trip, ticking a goal I've worked at over the last few years, my first 8A or 7C+ flash to date. ✅
Having come close to flashing a no. of V10's over the last 6 years, either being soft ones or 2nd/3rd go ascents. I was super stoked to manage to hold it together on one of the finest lines in 📍Hoya Moras💎👌(imo.)
Although being a feature that suits my style really well, it was right sided, and whilst playing to the strengths of my right sided weakness, it's still made it all the more rewarding to have achieved the goal, without having to find something that played to ALL my strengths (a mirrored version would have been perfect!), this helps with the continued confidence building and acceptance of my right half and self proving that I shouldn't avoid blocs that ask something of both sides in more equal measure or weighted to the right side.
Ultimately to climb the most difficult lines on and beyond the boundaries of my current capabilities, one needs to be able to work with both sides as well as possible, even if I can't feel my right leg or foot on the rock, this ascent showed I can still operate with confidence and consideration, on reflection this is a pretty significant milestone in my climbing post Stroke. 🙏

Psyched to put this one down a few weeks back and a good show of my progression through training this last couple of years, on the form of my life right now🙏🙏 and feeling more in the tank 💪💪🤘
The send itself was pretty unexpected😅, literal last go of the evening, tide chasing us out and stressed arriving an hour after low tide with 2 only hours to climb, because I broke down on the way, but had the total luck with the AA who sorted me mega quick! 😵💫😵💫
Been trying this on/off since the spring, thwarted by conditions on several sessions as per, bearing down the days it feels harder than it should, but no session here feels a loss, Hartland and this coastline is so close to my heart and it's beauty stuns every visit.
Huge props and thanks to all those who shared the psyche, pads, and laughter, these things would never happen without any one of those ingredients.
And to @cruxstrength for getting me in the physical shape I've needed, working with the obstacles I have.
