 Montreal, QC / Vancouver, BC – [Friday, January 10th, 2026] sunderneeth announces Volume 01: A transmissive experimental album from a trans-canadian collaboration sunderneeth = Mark Lawson (Montréal) and Brian Mitchell (Vancouver) = release their debut album “Volume 01” today. 10 track musical exploration and sonic discourse between longtime friends. Two people coming together, using seashells from PEI, instruments, electronics and tape to express life and stillness. The album moves fluidly through electronic, ambient and experimental forms where rhythm, texture, and atmosphere carry equal weight. With help from Daniel Monkman on guitar, feedback and voices. Matthew Spreen adding guitar, drones and effects ++ William Wattley on synths, vocals and noise &&& a street-poet spoken word recorded beside Montréal’s Place Émilie-Gamelin. The music explores dense and dark atmospheres while also embracing gentle and lush textures. Shaped through a collective consciousness.
