Hello! 👋 a little introduction, We Are The Blinking Crow Coop by @quarterpoppress . When I moved to Taos a few local artists (@mandystapleford.art and @sarah.parker.art ) inspired and convinced me on the need for local Taos and regional artists to have a home. I would have never imagined being able to have a spot in Taos world famous Bent Street but here we are.
Coming from hosting art and music in Colorado and as the Blinking Crow 🐦⬛ gets it desert wings, the coop will be about hosting the new generation of Taos and regional artists to show off to the world. We keep celebrating the old masters but how can you be an old master if you don’t allow a new generation to flourish? So that’s what I’m planning. But this isn’t just a gallery, I want it to be a place for artists to show off what they can do, a place for classes, host pop-ups for artists, maybe some music and ultimately an experience. We have a long why to go but we are open and flying the coop.
