Last week I had the pleasure of attending the
@bleubitecatering Chef Series Kitchen Takeover with 👨🏽🍳 Chef Héctor Boo (Culinary Director for
@bostaurussteak ,
@miyagiramen and
@hablotacos ) 🔥
This was such a uniquely fun and delicious event, and they knocked it out of the park! 💯
First off, shoutout to
@bleubitecatering , their space (launched last year) has a really cool open kitchen concept, so you’re right there watching the kitchen team work their magic.🔪 The hospitality was fantastic too — servers delivering dishes and drinks tableside, smooth pacing, and a really welcome and jovial vibe throughout the night. ✨💛
👉🏻 I have been a fan of Chef Hector’s food since his transition into the Executive Chef role at Bos Taurus. He thoughtfully crafted this menu around his Galician roots, inspiration from a recent trip to Japan, and Pacific Northwest ingredients — and he personally talked us through the techniques and stories behind each course as they were served. 🍽️ Yes chef! 👏🏻
Highlights included:
🦪 Oyster with smoked dashi, green apple, and olive oil
🍞 Fried bread with cultured butter, anchovy, and smoked honey
🐟 Hamachi with toasted grains, pickled mustard seed, and Douglas fir
🐙 Fire-kissed octopus with smoked potato, pimentón, and bonito
🌭 Chistorra with toasted brioche, miso honey, and pickled shallot
🍚 Rice pudding with crisp espuma, plankton, and sea salt
