Happy @sunburntbones day! I can't get enough of this band and their new (and first) full length album is one of those can't-put-it-down, can't-help-but-hum-along bangers. It's got sad songs, love songs, hilarious songs, beautiful group vocals/sing-a-longs, there's a banjo, a saw, guitar, bass, harmonica, washboard, spoons, a fiddle, and probably more I'm forgetting - what more could you want? (scroll through the photos for a video of them recording!) We've got tapes of their new full length "Dogtooth", available now as well as a tape with their half of the split they did with Sylvia Graves on side A, and their 2025 EP "Missed History" on side B. Dogtooth comes in a black shell in a black case and the split tape is in a pink translucent shell in a teal case. The split tape is the only way you can physically own Missed History! We've got CDs for Dogtooth and the full split with Sylvia Graves as well. We've also got some great 11x5.5" patches made by our friends at @doitnowtshirts - until we run out, buy any two Sunburnt Bones items and you get a patch for free! Given the 4/4 day of action in solidarity with the Prairieland defendants, I’ve re-dedicated my whole damn tour-type-thing. At least 50% of all my proceeds from merch sales this tour will be contributed to the defendants’ support fund, along with 80% of any online merch sales that happen this Friday 4/3 through Monday 4/6. Also, every show we’ll be providing a little overview info session and some useful zines (overall info, defendant info, letter-writing, how to contribute, improving opsec, etc), and will invite others (who can ofc) to contribute to the fund as well. I’ll also have other harm reduction supplies and plenty of masks - please wear one if you come out! “We take care of us” is more than just a slogan! We could not be more stoked on the gorgeous tapes and cds of Dance, Dance, Revolt! from @bleedinggumsrecords All art features collage work over backgrounds made of photos from shows we loved—hearsefest at roboto project on the cd cover and disc, benefit at walmart beach on the back of the album, the cellar in Millersville on the tape front and inner piece, and silver age hq in west philly on the tape itself. Just like the songs themselves feature so many of our friends! At long last, the album is outttt - on bandcamp and CD/cassette only. This album is less about “them” and more about “us”. Like all the ways we constrain and harm and yes oppress each other and ourselves. Hopefully it resonates. So many lovely and talented friends contributed musically and artistically to this work, and it is sooo much better for it - namely @jomercadomusic , Katie @spudbugs , @blackcowboymusic , @chloe_defector and @reesedanielsmusic - with the album cover art getting done in a collab with @audreyxplath Thank you all so muchhhh 🥰🔥 But who you’ll hear with me throughout the album is @yell_at_god . I really can’t express how meaningful it is to me that @rj_sproseph and @orahruth.mp3 contributed to much to this, basically *being* pjn x with me for the album. Their musical additions speak for themselves, but these loves are deeeear friends and I love them SO much, and I treasure the moments we have and things we create together. This album DEFINITELY included. And ofc, thanks so much to @bleedinggumsrecords for producing the physical media and also for all the other kinds of support they’ve provided, musically, moving-to-Philly-wise, and everything else.
