PRNCAST 019: Berlin-based DJ and @cuddles_brl co-founder @blauaaron focuses on warm, instinctive, narrative-driven sets. A careful selector, he blends rare cuts, overlooked tracks, and contemporary productions into cohesive, emotionally grounded journeys. His sound often carries a subtle sense of nostalgia while staying firmly rooted in the present. Since 2024, he has co-run Cuddles, a bi-monthly party and community space in Berlin’s queer underground. Cuddles is known for its mix of hedonism, playfulness and care, with a strong visual identity shaped under his creative direction. It foregrounds connection on the dance floor and prioritises freedom of expression. Alongside Cuddles, Aaron holds a residency at Milan’s queer party Vitamina and has appeared at PRNCPTL, Gegen, Power Dance Club, SchwuZ and K4. He has contributed mixes to platforms including Radiant Records, The Mudd Show and Smut Press, showcasing a broad yet focused approach to club music. For this PRNCPTL mix, the set is built as a slow, steady escalation in both mood and intensity. It opens in a deep, dreamy and hypnotic space, with a touch of melancholy and a patient, body-led tension. From there, the rhythm tightens and thickens into a sweatier, proggy, tribal flow aimed at movement and release. Toward the end, the energy lifts into a brighter, more playful and high-impact section. Across the mix, modern productions sit alongside 90s and early-2000s tracks, including rare vinyl cuts digitised specifically for this recording.
