On 30.05, PRNCPTL @prncptl lands in Athens for an oversized edition of SMUT: louder, sweatier, and longer. On deck: BASHKKA, BORIS, CHERRY DISTRESS, RAKANS, and SPACER WOMAN. Five distinct trajectories crossing in one room. BASHKKA moves between cities and identities, carrying queer nightlife histories into new contexts; BORIS is part of the backbone of Berlin club culture; CHERRY DISTRESS represents a newer generation of talented Athens artists; RAKANS builds entire worlds through Rawmantique, centering desire, community, and experimentation; and SPACER WOMAN embodies a fiercely independent presence, rooted in the underground yet untethered to any one scene, shaping her own lane within a constantly shifting, transnational club landscape. PRNCAST 025: Based in Amsterdam, TWIENA is a DJ and producer whose work is shaped by a Vietnamese diaspora background and a wide range of global influences. Her sound focuses on tactile, evolving club music with a strong low-end, drawing on intuition rather than strict conventions. She moves fluidly across genres, combining groove, bounce, and intensity while maintaining a steady momentum. Active in Amsterdam’s club community, she has held a residency at queer club RAUM. Performances at venues such as Panorama Bar, Bassiani, Blitz, and festivals including Lowlands, DGTL, and Awakenings Upclose have expanded her perspective on sound and dancefloor dynamics. As a producer, she continues to develop tracks influenced by Vietnamese roots, global references, and long experience in the booth. Recent work is geared towards peak-time energy while remaining detailed, playful, and adaptable, aiming to respond to what the dancefloor needs in the moment. Upcoming releases will continue to explore this blend of heritage, experimentation, and a direct, club-ready attitude. This mix focuses on a deeper and more hypnotic side of her sound. The selection leans into rolling rhythms and atmospheric tension while keeping space for percussive, unexpected turns. It marks a moment in her current musical path where subtle shifts, layered drums, and a steady pull to the dancefloor sit at the centre of her approach.

PRNCAST 024: Also known as Triplescorpio and HUGH K is a Berlin-based queer, Ghanaian-German DJ. The sound blends hardgroove, techno, acid and bouncy beats with Afro-diasporic influences. Sets focus on rhythmic, hypnotic basslines that are hard, fast, minimalistic and playful. The mix experiments with new genres and moves beyond the usual comfort zone. It reflects a desire for change, away from strict perfection, single-genre focus and predictable structures. The aim is a more open space where risk, variation and surprise are part of the sound.

We’re coming to Tbilisi. On May 9th, we join Eau de Cologne at Bassiani for their season closing. A collective rooted in community and working at the intersection of nightlife, performance and activism. They create space for queer visibility and expression in a context where it’s often under pressure. What they’ve built is rare, and deeply needed.
