They say that if you seek love, you won’t find it. But if you seek yourself, you’ll find love when you least expect it. And that’s exactly what happened.
Oh to be young & in love
And that, we are.
Our reception was a literal year’s worth of planning, arranging, finalising the little details - all worth it at the end. For us, it wasn’t just a wedding or the wedding day itself. When we started this journey, we made a pact to enjoy every step of the process - the bouncing of ideas, the excitement over tiny details and the most important part ; piecing all the individual pieces together in our imaginations, praying and hoping it all merges well when combined together. There were heated debates, minor miscommunications and different opinions along the way, but we came out stronger after each stumble. And that was the aim, we wanted this experience to be a humbling one, where we get to understand each other better, and appreciate our differences, while staying true to ourselves.
The intricate decor, the curated musical arrangements, the detailed garments, even down to the photobooth template were all carefully curated to reflect who we are as a couple, as a team. We wanted the night to resemble us. Asyraff for his grace and poise, and Yasmin for my whimsical and loud personality. But together, we dance in harmony, much like this magical night.
We’ve still got a long way to go in this marriage, and I’m beyond grateful to be on this journey with my best friend, my home, my safe space ❤️
