Now that we are adding another new ( knitting pattern ) to the line-up, I thought I would highlight the difference between our best-selling hand knit product - 'the Beanie' and our growing collection of patterns. I get asked a LOT if the Watch Cap can be modified to create the look of 'the Beanie' and the answer is no. They are in fact, different. I hope this helps answer some questions by visually representing all three side-by-side. the Beanie - she’s tall, she’s chunky, she fits ALL SIZES and most important I make each one myself for you. the Beanie is available online to order (4+ week turnaround ). Price increases May 1st. the Watch Cap is a KNITTING PATTERN available as a digital download , or printed booklet. It is a fisherman style beanie, meant to fit close to the head, and above the ear. the Always beanie is our BRAND NEW KNITTING PATTERN ( coming April 12 ) using a lighter-weight 100% merino wool. It's got a classic beanie shape, ribbed brim and that signature blaksands extra tall fit with the little pucker! Plus, there's plenty of room for a double cuff to get that fisherman above the ear look. Style-wise, it's quite versatile! Plus it's beginner friendly and soooo soothing. hello all! only 1 week remains to order a Beanie at our current prices. On May 1st, prices will be increasing. I do not take this decision lightly at all - in fact, I have tried to avoid this moment entirely, however in order to continue forward with a sustainable business, and to appropriately cover the cost of yarn and my time, it's long-overdue. I spent this week with my notebook and project planner and mapped out my entire fall/winter roadmap for the Beanie, markets and new pattern releases. We will be doing things a bit differently around here this coming fall and I'm really excited with my game plan. I cannot wait to share what I will be working on this summer as we gear up for next season.
