My debut album, Ambush has been out for officially 1 year. I’m so excited to share more music to celebrate . . .
🎉 I’m releasing 3 Ambush Extension Packs throughout the spring full of unreleased songs based on (heavily implied) themes of those short interludes on the album!
The first one …clingingtofutureglory is out today featuring 4 songs I did with @monochrome_sweatsuit my favorite collaborator from a time when I was way more of a dreamer and way more sure that I knew what I was doing.
Save the ‘these songs are just as good as your album and aren’t really b-sides’ comments for when you’re sharing with your besties. I already know!

I still suck at taking pictures and struggle to see much value in training an algorithm to recognize my aging face in all of its contortions
But as an exercise in gratitude, I had a pretty good November and December.
I was a part of a few really great shows, got to enjoy some Texas sun, I did my share of partying and surprisingly @nifmuhammad wrote some really lovely words about a song that I’m really proud of for @newyorkermag
I guess I’m building a pretty good life.

This month I played at fucking Lincoln Center (more photos and videos soon), spent an hour in the pit (thank you @machin3gir1 ) and even more hours checking out life changing shows and generally remembering who the fuck I am! Shout out my amazing NYC family and friends

I fell back in love with music and the city in September— I saw a few shows big and small. I rejoined the @brooklynchoirproject I saw my brother walk for Fashion Week I went to a few parties. I RELEASED A NEW SONG!!
I also put together a pretty sick band and we’re gonna play at @lincolncenter on Saturday at 7!!! I’m very excited and hope to see you all there!!

This month was about rest— a reset. Next month, I’ll take more pictures. I’ll present myself commercially. Me — as a product— as a tool for empire— as a data mine to exploit. I love you Meta!! Sorry for the shirtless moments is spent the month working out and zoning out.

Okay I’m posting my July recap halfway through August because I’ve been getting too good a rest
July was all about friends bringing me out and reminding me how great it is to live in this city in THIS time. Und! How fun and fulfilling it still is to be an artist in spite of… it ALL. I didn’t take that many pictures of myself cause I was too busy letting it all go and being present

Know that arts funding (or lack thereof) has generational effects. I pray that we get to hear of a new generation of artists in 20 years whose first instrument was a violin that he had to check out from the orchestra closet and whose public school teachers open his eyes to a new world of possibilities
