We’re sorry to deliver the news on such short notice, but this weekend will be the Black River retail’s last (at least for the summer). It was a wild, lovely adventure. We want to thank everyone who welcomed us into the community and offered so much generous support. Much was learned over these few short months, and many great friendships were made.
Thank you to the artists and makers who trusted us to represent them, and to all those who patronized their work.

Watercolours With @wildcanarystudio

Have you always wanted to try watercolour, but don't know where to start? Come out and spend a fun afternoon with some paints and Amy Wetton from Wild Canary Creative Studio. This 3 hour workshop will be filled with learning, experimenting and playing around with watercolours. You’ll become familiar with watercolour techniques, brushes, paint, colour and enjoy one of the most meditative, colorful, and whimsical mediums around!
The first part of the class will be spent learning the basic techniques, materials, colour mixing, and getting a feel for watercolours. The second half will be all about creating a gorgeous wall-art-worthy moon and Monstera leaf with a few other small pieces in between. No prior knowledge or experience is required for this workshop. All basic watercolor supplies will be provided, so just bring your fine self and a willingness to let go, have fun and create something pretty! $65 per person. A piece of the county: these bottles were turned by Katrina Tompkins of @finefolk.pec . The cherry jug is my favorite - made from a country tree, finished with beeswax from a county apiary. It doesn't get much more local than that!
