🎱🗼BMR030🗼🎱 @bushfyre_ - “Tokyo” Before we first listened to bushfyre’s latest track, “Tokyo,” the title brought a few images to mind: bright lights, crowded streets and subways, and the highest order of sushi. On listening to “Tokyo,” we realized the track’s focus is more on meditative musical ideas than the sensory overload of its namesake metropolis. “Tokyo” gleams and glistens with surgically processed samples and a warm and emotive melody. The track’s strong, resonant bassline and 2-step drum programming do wonders to keep it from floating away. bushfyre’s tight control of the track’s energy shows that a club tune doesn’t need peak-time flash to shine like a star.
