@sathecollective asked BlackLight Tribe “Would you like to organize a rave in a World War 2 era historical bunker?”
“Hell yeah”
Andy connected BlackLight with
@globalculturalalliance and
@battleboxsingapore and we started cooking.
It was the first time any of us has done anything like this and it took alot of coordination and mutual learning to make the event happen. We created an event that was uncompromising on the values of what BlackLight stands for as a community while still making a respectful, culturally relevant event that’s part of
@sgnightfest . Our event also happened to be 4 days after the launch of the SG culture pass, an initiative by
@mccysg . You could say we became Singapore’s first government sponsored rave event / alternative music showcase (music and optics vetted by IMDA)
The BlackLight Talent A-Team showed up and melted faces like it was their 9-to-5.
