@patwalls_sculpture
Photographed while documenting Pat and his latest large-scale stone carving.
From a series for his newly launched website as built by @blackhillcreative .
It didn’t fit the flow of the website, but is a favourite nonetheless.
(Image made on medium format Kodak Portra, then processed and scanned from the original negative by @david_fulford_photography )
We’re all about adding layers of flavour at every stage to make the juiciest, tastiest tandoori chicken!

✨ HŐME – Holmfirth Photo Social: Summer Exhibition & Events ✨
It’s taken a fair bit of graft behind the scenes to get this one ready – design, production, planning, and building the website – but we’re proud to be supporting and producing it through Black Hill Creative.
Holmfirth Photo Social is a passion project of photographer @david_fulford_photography , who also runs @blackhillcreative . This first summer exhibition and events weekend brings together photography from an international open call with talks, walks, and time to connect at Sculpture Lounge.
With business support from:
@sculpturelounge@freshaire_ltd@takeiteasylab@nofussco@obriensbeercafe@grahamscoffee_
And creative input from:
@timo_smitho@ellie_waters@other_town
Huge thanks to everyone who’s helped along the way, and to all the photographers who sent in work from around the world.
(The exhibition is free but ticketed – tickets via @holmfirthphotosocial

@holmfirthartweek meant for a great weekend in the studio – making portraits on paper.
These images are developing into a bigger series that looks at stillness, co-regulation, and what it means to be seen. Each image was taken at the end of a breath – a brief pause shaped by mutual focus and trust.
The portraits were made slowly, using analogue methods, and developed in the darkroom with the sitter present.
Thanks to Sarah, Brett, Jon, Carla, Will, Mo, Andrea, Oliver and Jessica.
**Direct Positive Portraits + Live Darkroom Demo**
Sit for a silver gelatin portrait, captured directly to photographic paper using a large-format camera.
You’ll be invited into the darkroom to watch as your image is developed and fixed by hand. It will be visible immediately, then washed, dried, and posted to you within 14 days to ensure archival quality.
Offered at a reduced rate for Holmfirth Artweek, made possible by a calibrated, repeatable lighting setup. One person per session.
**5–6 July**
Sculpture Lounge, Holmfirth

Accurately capturing large 2 dimensional works is an essential for both the artist’s archive and for the option to make prints.
As well as the digital record, photographing work can be an excellent tool for an artist to properly evaluate a finished piece.

A few images from last year of my studio neighbour @diana.terry.artist
Diana works in drawing, painting, collage, and sculpture to explore how art can embody thought and emotions. A current focus of her work is expressing and communicating her lived experience of hearing loss and deafness. This focus stems from her personal journey of becoming profoundly deaf, leading to complete reliance on implants for communication.
