Steel canopy I fabricated for these 125hp aeration blowers. By far the largest structural job I’ve taken on to date. It All started with the 12” pipe spools I built last year (wrapped in insulation on the last slide)! Thankful for the engineering and management team at this facility trusting me with such a large project.

Wrapped up this large structural project recently. Welded with plenty of .045 dual shield. These beams were then all galvanized prior to delivery and will be put up in the coming week. Can’t wait to see this one come to completion.

Another 25hp aeration blower install! This particular project made running a welding skid set up quite convenient , allowed me to simply pull my welder/reels out of the bed quickly and handle the aeration blower delivery as well for a faster turn around. This plant is currently going through an overhaul and will be going through a lot of changes in the near future, so we designed the spool to have additional flanged connection points to tie into and ready to go for a second aeration blower next year.

Today marks one year since the first site visit for this project that I wrapped up a few weeks ago. 90% of the pipe fabrication work was completed offsite prior to beginning the demoing the old aeration blowers. This project came with a few challenges, including having to take a staggered approach to demoing existing machines and rerouting temporary air lines to keep the plant going throughout the entire install. Not to mention the existing blowers were in critical condition and well past their life cycle, which lead to its fair share of problems to work though, but hey, that’s the name of the game. Thankful for all the lessons learned off of this project, the excellent engineering team, and most importantly my brothers for bringing their expertise along to get this project knocked out. It has been a busy start to the summer here, to say the least. I have been working with a little bit of everything in regards to material and weld processes, but let me tell you, there’s nothing like soaking some 6010 5p+ roots in with 7018 all the way out on some carbon SCH 40 pipe/ fittings. Also, I have really enjoyed using this @triarc_welding_and_supply Slow Roll roll-out wheel so far on the chain vice.
