No parent wants to outlive their child. Unfortunately, that is a hard reality for many people. But the lives of these children do not end with their diagnosis. Rather, it is just one part of their story but remains the object of focus for most. Society tends to avoid conversations about serious childhood illness, yet these discussions are essential. This requires a fundamental shift in perspective: away from a focus on dying and toward a mission of living fully. Despite advances in medicine, there remains a need for more open and authentic conversation about caring for children with serious illnesses, and their family caregivers. Amplifying the voices of patients and caregivers, often hidden from public view, “Short Lives / Lasting Stories” sheds light on the oft-overlooked world of children with life-shortening illness, emphasizing the profound resilience, love, and dignity that define their lives, and demystifying what it means to be a caregiver for a child with a serious illness. #caregiving

Not every shoot needs to be high-concept or headline-worthy. Some of the most impactful work is quiet, focused, and built for long-term use. That was the goal when the Nature Conservancy of Canada @ncc_cnc approached us: to create a versatile content library showing real Canadians enjoying protected natural spaces. In just one day, our team captured over 2,000 photographs and more than an hour of cinematic b-roll, giving NCC the building blocks for future campaigns, reports, and social content. We cast a multi-generational family and filmed on location at Alfred-Kelly Nature Reserve near Montreal, carefully planning the route, timing, and lighting to get the most out of the natural setting. From trails to lookouts to lakeside moments, every shot was designed for flexibility and longevity. It was about intention, authenticity, and giving NCC what they needed to keep telling their story all year long. Bringing @audible_ca ’s national campaign to life in Montreal required precision, collaboration, and creativity under pressure. With just three weeks from scout to shoot, our team locked in locations, assembled a 50+ person crew, and pulled together all the moving parts of a major commercial production. Each vignette told a different story—from gritty crime mystery to suburban hockey moment—all inspired by real Audible titles. We shot on the Sony Venice 6K with Minolta Rokkor cine lenses and built custom visuals for every scene, including a hollowed-out washing machine for a unique POV shot. We thrive on telling stories that matter. Mental health challenges among young people are more urgent than ever, yet access to support remains a significant barrier. Many struggle silently, unsure of where to turn or whether their concerns are “big enough” to seek help. @onestoptalkontario is changing that by offering free, confidential, and immediate mental health support to youth in Ontario, right when they need it. @thecoeffect , the agency working with One Stop Talk, approached us to create an awareness campaign to promote these vital services. We saw this as an opportunity to make a real impact on Canadian youth who need someone to talk to. This campaign was a chance to do what we do best: strategy, creativity, and craft coming together to tell a meaningful story. We loved working on this spot we produced for @mthreecareers (formerly Wiley Edge), designed to attract students to mthree’s career advancement program. It’s proof that a well-crafted video can have a real impact on the lives, career paths, and futures of its viewers. When @the10group approached us to handle the Canadian production for mthree’s global campaign, we were excited to collaborate. Working alongside production teams in London and New York, our role in Montreal extended beyond technical production services. mthree, a global leader in graduate talent and employee reskilling, needed a campaign that would engage young professionals entering the workforce. Our challenge was to ensure visual and emotional continuity across the various scenes filmed in London and NYC, all while staying within the budget and timeframe. With our deep understanding of the local landscape, we helped bring mthree’s vision to life. From scouting the perfect locations, like the historic Atwater Library and the World Trade Centre Montréal, to capturing engaging, narrative-driven visuals, we collaborated seamlessly with the UK based agency.
