Many moons ago one of my closest mates
@timmy_black who I would of described as young, hungry, ambitious (but a tad nervous) at the time asked me for a hand to go out on his own into the building and development space.
Not long later we found him a site, I helped him pour the footings on his first ever project to get him on his feet and it’s an understatement to say he’s hit the ground running ever since.
Since that time I’ve watched
@timmy_black and his partner
@sstevesmith grow
@black_developments into who I would without a doubt say is the best architectural building company in Brisbane.
Fast forward 12 years, and I feel privileged enough to say that
@timmy_black @black_developments returned that small gesture I did many years ago by agreeing to build my own personal home.
I guess you’re always somewhat nervous about mixing friendship with business. But if anything it has made us closer mates. I’ll let the cat out of the bag and say that we’ve now JV’d to purchase 2 large subdivision sites together totaling 117 lots 🫢
@black_developments efficiency and professionalism during this build alongside their attention to detail and quality is what sets them miles ahead of any other builder I know.
I consider myself extremely fortunate to be one a the few people in Brisbane that get to be lucky enough to live in a house

@jobbo5 the onsite foreman who made this build my most enjoyable to date. Passionate about his work and just an all round legend. The house wouldn’t be to this calibre without him and I’ve gained a great friend in the process.
I’ll shoutout all the other amazing contractors who helped bring this home to life when the professional photos and videography are done and released in the coming weeks.
Can’t wait to unveil the finished product !
