Home, within the bush.
An effort to regenerate depleted pastureland into a hub of biodiversity, by echoing the surrounding bushland.
Working on a spacious site like this means plants can grow to their full size - these are some of the lushest Casuarina Green Waves we’ve ever seen.
Casuarina needles make a great nesting material; couple that with a freshwater dam and an abundance of juicy Grevilleas, and it’s a cruisy life for the local birds.
Home, for the bush.

Of course, the boardwalk takes you somewhere.
Tucked away at the end of the path, you find a seating area that harmonises stone, concrete and steel. A space that’s both elegant and invites retreat.
In the conceptual stages of design, 3D renders are a useful tool to help visualise your future garden. Our landscape architects collaborated closely with the talented @servinistudio to produce high-quality renders, carefully tailored to represent our native planting palettes and materiality.

You’ve seen the front, now for the party out the back.
Two existing mature Quandongs set the tone for this space. To honour their subtropical energy, we curated the surrounding gardens to feel like a cooling, calm, and relaxing subtropical forest. A timber boardwalk will float above a sea of ferns, sheltered under a grove of native Fan palms and Tree Ferns.
It’s an intentional refuge from the coastal breezes and sunshine of the front facade.

Beyond excited and privileged to be apart of an exceptional, landmark project at Currumbin Beach with the amazing team from Justin Humphrey Architects.
It’s been a gradual and very organic process - from our first meeting with our clients and Justin at JHA: now only weeks away from breaking ground.

First stage completed on our largest residential project yet.
Our focus here is to bring life back to this land, which was depleted from years of agricultural use. The site also has major overland flow corridors and flood zones, which have been amplified by the lack of vegetation.
So, while the house is still being built, we started with this first stage - carving pockets of planting around the structure, with dense layers of native grasses, shrubs, and trees. In total, putting over 12,000 plants into the ground.
This will protect the home from erosion by slowing the flow of water and deepening the infiltration into the soil. Kickstarting soil biology and expanding on the adjacent bushland to restore the land as a wildlife corridor.
It’s rare to have this much land to work with in the residential context, and we love it. Hats off to our Design, Construction, and Horticulture teams, who have worked collaboratively to make this happen.
And this is just the beginning.
We can’t wait to continue restoring this land into a healthier and more biodiverse ecosystem.

There’s something so calming about water features.
Filling a space with gentle sounds, a constant reminder of cooling natural streams.
Now that we’re rolling into El Niño, which will bring us more hot and dry weather, something as simple as a water feature can completely transform how you feel in your garden.

Your garden is doing more than you think. Or at least, it could be. Green Care Project designs regenerative landscapes that restore ecological balance, support native wildlife, and create genuine connection between people and place. Native planting that’s beautiful and low-maintenance. Mature rescued grass trees centuries old. Gardens calibrated for Queensland’s intense climate. “We guide nature back to balance, and people back to nature,” says founder Aakash Bahuguna. A garden is never finished, and that’s the point 🌿 Read the full interview and article in the Building & Renovating Showcase edition (free to read and download online!) or on our blog now (link in bio).

Poolside gardens to celebrate the last few days of summer.
The naturalistic pool surrounds at Ferres Gardens are enhanced with fine-textured shrubs and fluffy grasses, swaying with the breeze and adding softness through gentle movement.
A custom metallic brown pool fence melts into the landscape, blurring the edges of built and natural.
