2025 - acrylic on wood - 28x22 inches
Starting this Friday, July 25th, this piece and 2 others of mine will be part of “Uncommon Art Show” at @thecenterjh in Jackson Hole, WY. The Uncommon Art Show is a collection of the residents’ work from the Uncommon Art Residency. I had the pleasure of staying @soundviewgreenport this past March and produced 6 paintings over the course of the week, this being one of them. The show is up until September 10th, please check it out if you’re in Jackson Hole!
“B.Y.O.. Chair”
2025 - acrylic on wood - 28x22 inches
Still alive, still painting. In March I had the pleasure of spending a week at the uncommon artist residency at @soundviewgreenport . It was smack dab in the middle of a chaotic schedule. I thought I may not be able to really turn off the life part of my brain and turn on the full time art part of my brain. Luckily the chance of scenery and the warm welcome from @karabellaa put me in the right headspace and I was able to buckle down and finish 5 paintings, with another very close to finished and 2 more about 75% done. Funny what a solid block of time and a beautiful view can do. This one is possibly my favorite, and is spoken for. I have more, if you want to see them send me a DM or email and I’ll send you the available works. 💖

“Top Fuel Migraine”
2024 - acrylic on wood - 46x58 inches
What to say… what to say… I love this painting, it’s hanging in NYC at a private gallery for another couple of weeks. Who knows maybe this one will be one of the very few paintings of mine that I hang in my own home. That’s always felt cringey. Like a musician casually listening to their own music. Probably because I’ll just look at it critically. I’ve spent many active hours with a painting and even more passive hours with them do I need more hours in my home? Do other artists feel this way?
“Mirror Mirror”
2024 - Acrylic on Linen - 32x36 inches - available.
In case you missed it, this painting is in a show right now. It’s at @thenorwalkartspace . But act fast because it closes tomorrow. I have a lot to say about the latest wave of paintings, where I’m headed, and where I want to be. But that will have to wait for another time. Maybe I’ll post up for a bit around lunchtime tomorrow to talk to anyone who wants to talk about painting. If this is you, let me know.
“Goombay Smash” - 2024 - acrylic on linen - 32x38 inches
AVAILABLE
Here’s what I feel and see looking at this painting; Swimming in clear water, drinking punchy punch, thumbing through travel magazines longing for someplace else, getting caught in the rain, hangovers, dead street umbrellas, spilled makeup, gardening, and distant horizons.
What do you feel?
“Buoyancy” is a recently completed mural for @mkedowntown on the Riverwalk in downtown Milwaukee. It was the first time a client took me up on the offer to seek input from the community to determine some of the specific imagery. We packed a fair amount of details and important imagery into this small area. City hall, kayaks, The Hoan Bridge, beer culture, and local wildflowers. But my personal favorite to come out of the surveys, was the nod to the indigenous tribes whose land Milwaukee was built upon, Potawatomi, Ho-Chunk, and Menominee tribes. It was fun to paint and even more fun to add personal touches that are important to the people there. Swipe to see closer shots of the whole thing.
“Objects and Parts” - 2024 - acrylic on linen - 28x22 inches - AVAILABLE
This painting is included in the Stacked show at @thenorwalkartspace . This Sunday 11/24 I’ll be chatting with @studio162design and @hollydangerf lead by @phenomenalewis from 3-4.30 about this new work, some old work, the importance of material knowledge, and why the smashing pumpkins aren’t a grunge band. Stop by and say hello!

I’ve been in and around this area plenty of times throughout the years but never had I flown around it! Lol. Until now and I’m grateful for the opportunity to have been inspired to do so.
