Remembrance - an evening of taste, memory and connection.
Gab and I have been scheming about this event for about a year now and we couldn’t have dreamt up a more divine constellation of humans and visions.
We got @bonnie_cmc on the kai, @joedaledickson on the bevs, @gabstoddard and I on the space and pace.
This is an opportunity to come together to re-collect and re-connect with past, present and possibility.
We are so looking forward to dining with you soon.
Thank you to @blue.tamaki for inviting us into your whare for the night.
Huge shout out to @mia_____walsh and @spamsitcher for the graphics ❤️‍🔥

CLAY//TOUCH WORKSHOP 🫶🏻
Where challenging emotions can often manifest as immobilisation and stagnancy, the experience of manipulating material into something new can offer a sense of mobilisation and empowerment.
At the start of last year I spent weeks with my body immersed in clay. After years of stifling my grief, the connectivity of clay allowed me to finally soften and be with the discomfort of loss. I’ve found in my experience it is true that allowing the tears invites in repair, and though not constant, a deeper joy than I’ve ever felt before.
Come together to gather and share tools to be with life.

Articulation workshop series
Over the past year @gabstoddard and I have been developing a series of workshops bringing together parts of our practices in yoga, somatics and therapeutic creative arts.
These workshops stemmed from noticing the lack of creative opportunities to express grief in supportive shared spaces. We have created these workshops with a focus on offering a space where we can share emotional experience through creativity, mindfulness and gesture.
This four part series offers four different modalities in the hopes that one, if not all, will resonate with your individual and innate artistic curiosity.
These workshops are for those interested in community based visual art explorations that might offer a therapeutic/ mindful encounter with creativity. No experience in art making or yoga is needed.
Check out the link in the bio, more specific details to come. We hope to see you there!
🪼
I watch the ripples change their size
But never leave the stream
Of warm impermanence
So the days float through my eyes
But still the days seem the same
And these children that you spit on
As they try to change their worlds
They’re immune to your consultations
They’re quite aware of what they’re going through ~ David Bowie, my queen
Earlier this year we connected with @millytaylor__ around the nuances of grief as she is on her journey to process and unpack her experience and the experience of others.
Have a read, check out @togethergrieving — and thank you Milly for your vulnerability.
