Britain’s second largest city just got a new indoor space 🛹 🏠
The Drop Inn in the heart of Birmingham opened last month with a banging new (and extended) mini ramp and a bunch of skateable obstacles.
The crew behind Bournebrook DIY, @birminghamskatespaces , are responsible for the new space and has been supported by the @subway_ukireland and Skateboard GB project, which aims to enhance skateboarding spaces around the UK.
Over 400 people came down this weekend for the Birmingham Skate Jam and the space will be open until at least May, with donation entry set to £3.
There are also free lessons available and a ton of events coming up in the coming weeks.

It’s cold outside so we taking skating indoors, we’ve partnered with @the_drop_inn_digbeth to create an indoor skate space. This weekend opening times:
Saturday and Sunday 12-2pm for skate lessons (free to all, DM @birminghamskatespaces to book, children welcome must be accompanied by adults) learn from @krisvile and @shaun_boyle1 please bring your own safety equipment and boards, you’ll be in a group.
Skate ramp open for all users as follows:
Friday: 5pm-9pm
Saturday: 2pm-9pm
Sunday: 2pm-6pm
£3 session nominal fee to ride the ramp.
