20 years ago today Birds of Maya played our first show!
Slide 1- It was a wild first show for sure. Our friend Stacie George, who booked the shows at the Khyber, was asked to find Philly bands to play at the Camden NJ Warped Tour with all of the pop punk and emo heavyweights of the day. It was a fun but truly bizarre scene. We remember our music being rather confusing to the emo skater kids, some of whom we helped sneak into the venue over the fence.
Slide 2 - A month later when we played with our heroes Dead Moon at the Khyber.
Slide 3 - When we used to live together and jam in the basement across the street from Palmer Cemetery in Fishtown. Best Summer Ever 2004.
Slide 4 - One of our first shows out of town at Talking Head in Baltimore, MD
Slide 5 - The original flyer that Ben and Jason hung up at record stores in 2004. Mike saw the flyer, called us and Birds of Maya was born.
