Scammers are targeting job seekers. Don’t fall for it. 🚨
We're aware that some job seekers have been approached with fraudulent recruitment offers from false Bird representatives claiming to fast-track visa applications or requesting personal data upfront. These offers are scams aiming to deceive and steal from victims.
Bird will never ask for payment, Social Insurance Numbers (SINs), or photocopies of passports during any recruitment efforts.
We take this matter seriously and are committed to raising awareness to protect job seekers from falling prey to these scams. Stay vigilant and don't engage if you suspect fraudulent communication.
All individuals who are successful in gaining an offer of employment from Bird are always required to go through a formal recruitment process. Additionally, all of our communications will come from our official email domain (@bird.ca ).

POV: You attend #CNA2026 with our team! 🔋
Over three days, we joined industry partners and peers for conversations shaping the future of nuclear energy in Canada. From strategy and project delivery to emerging tech, the @canadanuclear brought together voices across the sector focused on collaboration and long-term impact.
Key touchpoints included discussions on nuclear strategies, the potential of microreactors in remote and northern sites, supply chain innovation, and how Canada is strengthening its role as a global supplier of nuclear expertise and technology. Highlights from our team included:
🔸 Holly Watson representing Bird at the Women in Nuclear Canada booth and helping lead conversations on representation, leadership, and the future workforce
🔸 Booth swag featuring custom cards by Indigenous artists, sharing creativity and storytelling while recognizing culture and connection
🔸 A meaningful brunch with fellow @ontariosnuclearadvantage members and Minister Stephen Lecce MPP, creating space for important relationships
Bird is positioned to support this momentum by working alongside partners and helping deliver the infrastructure that will power Canada’s energy future at home and globally.
A space rebuilt for community care 🌿
The Mount Carmel Clinic Rehabilitation project marks a meaningful transformation for community focused healthcare in Winnipeg. Since 1926, the clinic has provided grassroots health services to Winnipeg's North End community, and this rehabilitation was designed to support that long standing role into the future. Bird reimagined the existing facility into a modern, welcoming wellness hub that better serves patients, staff and the broader community.
The scope of work included a full interior redevelopment, new mechanical and electrical systems, exterior and landscape improvements, and energy efficient upgrades throughout the facility. Each element was carefully considered to improve functionality, accessibility and long-term performance while creating a space that feels warm, inclusive and supportive.
The result is a high-quality environment that reflects the vital role the built environment plays in delivering accessible care and strengthening community connections.
That's a wrap on Safety Week 2026! 👷
Teams across Bird came together to reinforce what safety truly means to us. This year’s theme, All In Together, focused on Recognize, Respond, Respect. Recognizing hazards early. Responding with the right controls. Respecting the plan and each other so everyone goes home safe.
Throughout the week, teams took part in demonstrations, toolbox talks, guest speaker sessions and team BBQs. These moments created space for learning, connection and meaningful conversations that strengthen our safety culture beyond just one week.
Thank you to everyone who participated and helped bring Safety Week to life.
Working in Tuktoyaktuk means building where conditions test every decision. ❄️🏫
In Canada’s Far North, Bird is renovating the 3,500 square metre Mangilaluk School, delivering essential upgrades in an environment defined by extreme cold, remote access, and narrow construction windows. Careful planning, precise execution, and proven northern experience guide every step.
The project includes structural revisions, layout modifications, new finishes, and full window and cladding replacement. Each upgrade is designed to improve performance, comfort, and long-term durability in severe Arctic conditions.
Access is limited to a 200 kilometre gravel road from Inuvik that can close during blizzards, making logistics and adaptability critical. With deep Arctic expertise, Bird continues to deliver education spaces built to perform where conditions are toughest.
What challenges do you think have the biggest impact on building in the Arctic?
🏆 Recognizing excellence across our business.
Last month, we came together in-person and online from coast to coast to coast for the fourth annual Bird Excellence Awards. It was a chance to recognize the people and moments that move our work forward and make a real impact across the business.
444 nominations led to 24 finalists across 6 categories, all made possible by individuals who took the time to notice great work and celebrate their colleagues. Recognition like this only happens when someone chooses to pause and say something.
Thank you to all of our Bird team for celebrating together and helping make recognition part of our everyday culture!
Our Bird Hockey Team hit the ice at the Aecon Group Inc. Cup Charity Hockey Tournament!
