Originally from Melbourne’s rich electronic music scene, he developed his sound through crate digging and a strong connection to late-night dancefloors.Now based in Copenhagen, his sets focus on deep, stripped-back and rhythm led selections, blending minimal and soulful elements. With an emphasis on flow, tension, and atmosphere. 🦘 FRIDAY kl. 21-01 MARCUS LAMPE is a Malmö based DJ and music producer. Fell in love with funk music through breakdancing in younger years and started collecting dance music, mainly from 70’s-80’s. With time his digging has gone into various directions like electronic music and specifically grooves from Sweden, Brazil and Soviet. 🇸🇪 SATURDAY kl. 21-01 FLYVERBOM got lured into DJ’ing by Copenhagen pioneers like Storm, T.O.M and Stuffa in the late 1990s. He spent years as resident DJ at Vega and ran the event Low Pressure at Rust with his good friend Emil Soegaard (aka EMO/JIYU), and has also played at the Jazz Cafe in London and Windows on the World in the World Trade Center in New York, just before 9/11. During the day, he’s a professor at the Copenhagen Business School, but continues to play his favorite afro, latin, soul and sweet hip hop tunes at places like Søhesten and H15. 👨‍🏫 SUNDAY kl. 20-23 SPIRTUAL SUNDAYs will be hosted this Sunday by Mr Musicmind THATMANANDY. PLACES / BIRD Copenhagen 📍 Listening bars are having a moment. From Paris to New York to our own Norwich, the kissa tradition is quietly taking over European cities — low light, good sound, cocktails built for people who want to actually hear each other. Finding the best one has become part of how we travel now. Last year, on our first visit to Copenhagen, Bird was the one that stopped us. There are two. Bird : Uptown on Gl. Kongevej, the original — cosier, evenings only, jazz from a vinyl deck, hand-built speakers, custom-made hardware. And Bird : Downtown on Palægade in the Inner City, the newer sibling — brighter, open from 11am, coffee and pastries by day, cocktails by night. Both share the same idea: no shakers, no noise. Every cocktail is pre-batched and stored in apothecary bottles behind the bar, so the room stays quiet enough for the music to lead. The acoustics shape everything. He later joined Belgium’s Techno temple, Fuse CLub, as a resident for theBeyond collective where, together with a fine crew of Brussel’s underground activists, he hosted guests such as DJ Stingray, Tama Sumo, Theo Parish, XDB, Steven Julien, Mike Huckaby, Jane Fitz, Daniel Bell, and many others. Pablo is an obsessive record collector and his DJ sets are driven by his eclectic approach to music, exploring the sub genres of a 30 years legacy of House & Techno and breaking their boundaries through wave, EBM, Bass, soulful and italo-ish infused sounds.
