Emmer & Einkorn's second single from their forthcoming LP "Karst" is "Shakeholes" - named after the formation of natural 'potholes' in the soil when limestone dissolves over time and drains away as a solution, leaving space for subsidence where soil and glacial deposits sink into fissures in the ground. Analogous to the geological formation is their track, sliding in the 'deep' region between bleep and dub techno styles: modular drums, and a swung groove the undulates above deep pads that wouldn't be out of place in Bristol or Berlin. The most DJ friendly track of their album and one that could give grace to peak-time moments and the depths of the after-hours.
For fans of echospace, blawan, and Livity Sound. An excellent DJ tool, with atmospheric progression, and psychedelic sound design, that is tamed by atmospheric pads and apt dancefloor progression perfect for those deeper moments.

Drenched in spring reverb, warm field recordings and lush pads, Hob's House is the first single by ambient dub duo Emmer & Einkorn from their forthcoming LP 'Karst'. The combined partnership of the lesser known but much respected artists Human Resources & Mallard, they bring their extensive production experience to the ambient dub techno mold - shaped by the likes of labels such as echospace and Silent Season. Focusing on texture and ambience, a laid-back sensibility is in the driving seat for this ode to the subterranean home of the giant 'Hob' in the Peak District.
