At the Napa Valley Asian American Film Festival on Saturday, Feb. 7, a moving panel discussion brought together @rosemeadfilm executive producer @juliasgouw and actor @lawrenceshou âwho plays @lucyliu on-screen sonâmoderated by global communications executive @patratu .
The discussion explored why talking about lifeâs hardest challengesâincluding mental health and terminal illnessâmatters so deeply. By sharing stories like Rosemead, the hope is to reduce, and potentially eliminate, the stigma and shame many Asian American families still carry in silence.
