Multi-faceted, Norm is by turns a stand-up comedian, singer, musical theatre performer, writer, producer, chef and co-host of the Extra Gravy Podcast. Norm’s soulful style of comedy is an amalgamation of life experiences and cultural perspectives gained through his time growing up in Toronto community housing, in a Filipino, Seventh-day Adventist household. His style showcases influences from Jamie Foxx, Russell Peters, Tracy Morgan, Cedric The Entertainer with a heavy sprinkle of Wu-Tang & Jodeci. Big Norm incorporates a hip-hop-flavoured and Motown-inspired cadence and delivery to his stand up and frequently touches base on multiculturalism, music, and personal anecdotes as a Filipino man in North America.
