We envision a world where every American has fresh, healthy food on their table. Watch our new brand anthem film, brought to life through the voice of @aloeblacc . Today, on Colorado Gives Day, we’re thrilled to share this new film and show off our proud roots from Denver, Colorado. Across the country, local leaders are reshaping what it means to grow food, steward land, and build community power. Big Green identifies these visionaries and invests directly in their work, backing grassroots leadership with the strength of a national network. One of those leaders is Duron Chavis, a force in the food justice movement who is redefining what land ownership and land stewardship look like in urban America. For communities historically dispossessed of land, Duron’s work is more than farming. It is reclamation and self-determination. Local leaders like Duron need support now more than ever. They’re maintaining community farms, training new land stewards, educating neighbors, and helping people envision and create the food systems they want to see. Your Giving Tuesday gift to Big Green backs hundreds across the country working toward food sovereignty, healthier communities, and collective self-determination. The food system is changing before our eyes, and Big Green believes in the power of community to shape the system we want to see. In our ongoing Powered By Community video series, Big Green spotlights local leaders advancing food justice in their communities. Today, please meet Veleké Brown, founder and CEO of @e_roadmap . For Veleké Brown, the Covid-19 pandemic in 2020 illuminated an existing gap in resources across Riviera Beach: fresh food. The disparity between wealth and poverty is tremendous in this part of Florida. In Palm Beach County, you can find some of the wealthiest individuals in America, yet within less than a 15-mile radius, there’s a city where grocery stores with fresh food are few and far between. Big Green and E-Roadmap have partnered so that thousands of Riviera Beach community members can grow food — at home, in schools, and in communities spaces. Veleké has big plans for this city, and the fight for greater food security and a more resilient food future for Riviera Beach has only just begun. A heartfelt thank-you to the Lambrecht Family Foundation for making this work possible in South Florida. 🎥 Produced in partnership with @gnarlybay . #GrowingFoodChangesLives #foodjustice #communityempowerement

This Mental Health Awareness Month, we’re celebrating the powerful healing that is happening in gardens across the country. Our partners are using their gardens to support community wellbeing in ways that go beyond food. Veterans are processing and healing trauma. Young people navigating hard circumstances are finding grounding and confidence. Incarcerated and formerly incarcerated people are discovering purpose and a real path forward. People are spending more time with their neighbors, building bonds that push back against loneliness. The organizations doing this work are proof that when communities grow food, they also grow healing and connection. We’re proud to back them. #MentalHealthAwarenessMonth #NatureHeals #GrowingFoodChangesLives

The Ag & Food Lab is reshaping Colorado’s food supply chain from a 35-acre farm in Bennett to distribution hubs and SNAP-authorized markets across Denver. Cold storage, logistics, market access — they’re building it all across Colorado. We’re proud to back orgs like @agfoodlab that are reimagining their local food systems. #ColoradoFood #FoodSystemsReimagined #LocalFood

As #TeacherAppreciationWeek begins, we’re sitting with gratitude for the educators who believed in planting a seed from the beginning. When we planted our first learning garden at a school, it was a seed of an idea that students could learn science, nutrition, and stewardship not from a textbook, but from the earth beneath their feet. Big Green has since evolved, but the root of it all has always been the same. Growing food changes lives. To every teacher who has ever helped students plant a seed — thank you! You are why this work continues to grow. 🌱 #TeacherAppreciation GrowingFoodChangesLives

🌎 Earth Day in Action ㅤ At Manual High School in Denver, purpose met impact as Wells Fargo, Traillionaires Foundation, and Big Green came together to invest in the future of our youth. ㅤ This wasn’t just an event. It was a blueprint. ㅤ By connecting financial wellness with growing your own food, students experienced what it means to build self-efficacy, sustainability, and long-term stability. Because planning for your future and nourishing your body go hand in hand. ㅤ 🌱 140 mobile gardens distributed 💼 Access to financial professionals and real-world courses 🍽 Hot meals and hands-on learning experiences ㅤ When young people are equipped with the tools to grow their own food and manage their finances, they gain more than knowledge. They gain confidence, balance, and the power to shape their own outcomes. ㅤ This is how we create a more nourished, more resilient, and more exceptional future. ㅤ Are you with us? 💪🌿 ㅤ #EarthDay #CommunityImpact #FinancialWellness #Sustainability #FoodSecurity #YouthEmpowerment #TraillionairesFoundation #BigGreen #WellsFargo #ExceptionalOutcomes

Happy Earth Day! 🌍 At Big Green, we believe that growing food is one of the most powerful things a person can do for this planet. Your support is a part of a bigger picture to address food insecurity, climate change, and to create a healthier, more connected world. 💚 Our partners and educators across the country share this mission every single day by teaching sustainable growing practices, reconnecting communities to the land, and proving that change can start in a garden bed. Today, on Earth Day, we're asking you to be part of that. Our campaign closes at midnight and every dollar raised keeps this work going all year long. 🌱 Click the link in our bio to make your gift before midnight tonight. Let's finish strong together! #EarthDay2026 #GrowingFoodChangesLives #EarthMonth
