Planning an event can be super intense. I am sharing these 5 lessons off putting together @daretolive.arenagames with anyone figuring out their first event.
5 LESSONS
- Events need planning, but also enough time to get all the variables together (3 months Minimum). Track your budget, have a great roll out plan & find people who want to support you in anyway.
- Don’t rely on your immediate community alone, seek cross community collaborations. Tell a good story and find ways to create fresh excitement about your event.
- Brand Sponsorship goes a long way, even though they can be difficult to get on your first event. The more control you have over your event, the better for securing deals. Also, leveraging relationships can prove more productive than cold outreach.
- Always plan a great experience, even if you don’t sell out, make sure those who come have a blast.
- Use a great ticketing platform that works, makes event day logistics easier and shares analytics.
