▪️New car protection package for the Focus (5 year Ceramic paintwork protection, 20k mileage glass protection & complimentary wheel sealant)
▪️VW Transporter, Eibach coilovers fitted and brake calipers painted. Ready for some nice new wheels.
▪️ @shire_detail carrying out a valet to a stunning BMW e36
▪️FK8 Type R having track pads all round and brake fluid flush ready for its next Trackday
▪️Classic 911 in for alignment
▪️R53 Mini Trackcar for full ‘track’ alignment.
▪️Last valet for our good customers RB320 😢 which is now sold.
▪️Pair of GR86’s in. One for a complimentary checkover following a large amount of parts changed a few weeks ago.

@timeattack_uk Round 1 Cadwell Park.
After 6 months we finally back out on track competing. And what a weekend it was!
Warmup:
1:38.3 - this was the first time driving the car after a number of upgrades carried out last week which was a bit worrying as it was untested with both mechanical & electrical changes. But without pushing it slotted into 2nd place on the timing board and was already a second faster than last year.
Attack 1:
One slow warm up lap and then a push…
I look down at my timer. 1:35.0 🤯 I couldn’t believe it! I had set my sights on a realistic time of high 1:36’s by the end of the day. And instantly I was nearly 2 seconds up on this.
I pull in to the pits, do the tyres pressures (shout out to @shire_detail best tyre guy out there 😉)
And 1:34.8 with 2 mistakes 😳.
The session ends and I’m in 3rd place just 7 tenths off 1st. Although my ‘predicted’ lap time was saying I’d be right in the mix.
Attack 2:
At this stage things were looking good.
I go out again… and we hit a problem.
On the first lap we randomly dropped boost then regained it. 1:35.0 LapTime. Hmmm
In the pits, check the electrics. Everything seems happy. Go out again, 3/4 away around the lap. Same thing. This time triggering a limp mode. Which couldn’t be fixed in this session. We finish in 5th.
Super Attack:
After an hour of diagnosing and ‘fixing’ we just make it to the holding area for the final. Turns out 1 of the 2 O2 sensors for cylinders 1,2& 3 had pinched on the steering column. We managed to get it freed and straightened but with no time to swap it out we knew there was a good chance it could go down again.
I decided to waste no time and went straight for an early push lap incase temperature affected it.
1:34.8
Excellent! Cooled down, came into pits. Set pressures and Back out. 1/2 way round the lap the timer was predicting a 1:34.2… then it lost power again. Back into pits, reset. Same thing. Didn’t matter what I tried it wouldnt last a whole lap.
Back to the pits and the team are celebrating. Amazingly my 1 and only flying lap was good enough to secure 3rd place!!! 🤩 Unbelievable. Massive thanks to the Team! You were all fantastic! @rotospauk@nforcd.ltd

▪️Power Steering conversion. Featuring Corsa B rack & Mercedes A-Class hydraulic pump mounted in rear (the same setup that was on our own Corsa B Trackcar).

▪️@3J Plated diff (replacing the previous Quaife ATB)
▪️Fresh @millersoilsltd Engine & Gearbox oil

With only a few weeks to go till @timeattack_uk kicks off at Cadwell Park, it was time to get the car together for a pre season test at… you guessed it. Cadwell Park 🤪.
A HUGE thanks to the team for working late nights and weekends to get the car ready.
It’s not quite race fit but 90% there.
The main upgrades being:
▪️2 x new splitters (a Carbon one for road use) and a quick release ‘aero’ one that sits underneath with splitter diffusers.
▪️Bonnet vents
▪️Wing vents
▪️Higher Spring poundage front & Rear
▪️Revised geometry (4 degrees camber up front, 2.7 degree rear with less toe in)
Initial results were encouraging (car was 1 second faster than my PB in competition last year, despite having a passenger & old non regulation tyres).
We’re still going to be down on straightline speed compared to others. But we’ll have fun trying to keep up 🙂
