Our Bachelor of Fashion Design students were invited to reimagine one of Australia’s most recognisable cultural objects, the sheep skin boot, with the winning designs progressing into production.
Congratulations to the winning students, Madeleine Graham, Lydie Taylor, Harrison Spunner and Tianyin Yang.
Come along to a new series of free creative making sessions and bring your own hand-craft project to upcycle, mend and make together with fellow creatives in a headphone friendly space! This is a great opportunity to meet new friends and work on your personal project

Enrolment is now open for GRAP2831 Garment Design Industry Techniques.
The course runs as a 4 week intensive, Wednesdays and Fridays, 28 January - 20 February 2026.
Open as an option course for fashion design, fashion sustainability and fashion enterprise students. Suited to beginners through to more experienced makers, the course is led by leading professional pattern maker and designer Arthur Soetedja.

Final-year students will be presenting their graduate collections and projects in this exciting one-night-only on-campus exhibition, where you will experience fashion and textile installations, pop-up performances, a runway, and fashion and textile short film screenings.

Over the past weeks we’ve been sharing resources and having discussions with our student and staff community about today’s referendum to enshrine a Voice to Parliament in Australia’s constitution. The goal has been to have a respectful conversation focused on reputable sources of information and on indigenous led discussions - both in the broader community and the fashion industry. To this end we have found the advocacy of @clothingthegaps and their community conversations podcast really impactful in framing our thinking on the Voice itself as well as the tone of debate, and also appreciated the work of the @ausfashioncouncil Thanks to all the staff and students who have shared their time, ideas and opinions, and 🙌 to students voting for the first time!
