Leanne Yansin Choi is a Chinese-Australian interdisciplinary designer. Initiated by her grandma’s wardrobe, Leanne draws from her surrounding spaces and nostalgic experiences to explore the connection between Fashion and Diaspora. Her masters project combines clothing, objects, and text to propose an experimental body of performative and transformative work, challenging the current traditional fashion design contexts, value, and function. Guided by individual and shared diaspora stories, Leanne creates pieces that express both familiarity and unfamiliarity. Yiwei Ju @error4o4__usernotfound is a fashion designer who aims to challenge traditional notions of garment forms as well as their relationships with our bodies. Yiwei believes fashion is a medium to observe the way people connect and reflect their individual environments. Her design process integrates a fluid application of digital design programs and physical draping. Her bold work often features sculptural silhouettes merged with classic womenswear archetypes.
