Presented across the Roger Ballen Centre for Photography (
@rogerballencentre ) and the Inside Out Centre for the Arts, the exhibition traces five decades of fashion imagery in Africa featuring work by Koto Bolofo, Pieter Hugo, Nadine Ijewere, Kristin-Lee Moolman, Kevin Mackintosh and many more, alongside the designers who shaped the images.
Curated by Sharon Armstrong and Wanted's own editor Aspasia Karras, Fashion_The Image brings together archival material, new commissions and previously unseen work from some of the most influential photographers and designers shaping African fashion today.
The exhibition opens to the public on 28 February and runs until 30 May 2026.
