After a few months of pestering, I finally convinced @cristinterrill to go live with this project! We’ve co-run @wordsmith.workshops for YEARS (over a decade now), and this feels like a really fun new direction. Will we be able to write a book? Who knows! But we WILL vlog the whole experience, so it’ll at least be entertaining!

I went to three local indie bookstores yesterday and left behind signed copies and swag, and walked out with more great books to add to my TBR! I drove through WNC yesterday and all three now have signed copies ready to be picked up or shipped to you. 📫
At @malapropsbookstore , I included the extra bonus sticker in all the copies (art by @artsyalisondesigns ) and I snagged a signed copy of @wordsiren ’s latest!
At @city.lights.nc , I signed stocked, pet a mini panther (I’ll put the kitty in my stories!), and grabbed @heather_fawcett ’s ENCYCLOPEDIA OF FAERIES!
And at @highland_books , I only saw a wooden squirrel (none of the live white squirrels the town is famous for!) but I also got @avasreid ’s LADY MACBETH as well as the beautiful shiny THE LEAGUE OF LADY POISONERS by @madebyperrin
Absolutely loved participating in the One Book, One Buncombe program! Hearing author Doren Perkins-Valdez speak about her latest book, Happy Land, was utterly brilliant. Yall need to check out this book, with roots in the real life The Kingdom of Happy Land, a Black community located in WNC. Thank you, Buncombe County Libraries!!! Especially @enkacandlerlibrary 📖
What a fun night! Thank you, @mjudsonbooks for hosting us, and three cheers for the brilliant @veronicaroth ’s latest book, SEEK THE TRAITOR’S SON! It’s got an amazing first chapter twist that hooked me so hard I couldn’t put the book down. It might just be my new favorite VR book!!

I just returned from sunny Austen, TX after a brilliant time at the lastest Wordsmith Workshops retreat! @wordsmith.workshops is pretty unique—we’ve been doing retreats for a decade and have blended work and fun and serene writing time with a healthy blend of laughs, coffee, and pie.
