BGWLC at the Greater London Rainbow Alliance 🏳️‍🌈💪🏻 Lots of BGWLC members competed across the weekend, with PBs across the board 💚💛🤍 @deadliftconnoisseur not only with PBs but also an unofficial British record. Finishing as best lifter to top it off even after a difficult start to the day🥇 @colinkschu hitting a PB squat in the 83s 🍾 @strengthisthefoundation securing a new deadlift PB 💚 Alice coming into another competition with more progress, PBs in both squat and deadlift 💐 Sofia coming out for her first competition, complete with rainbow socks for the occasion 🌈

Big benches and full colours for BGWLC members at English Bench Championships at Moulton College 💚💛 🥉Rani Gupta. Second competition at 52kg with a 2.5kg PB and 3rd place 💐Charlotte De Val. 4th place on bodyweight with a matched PB in the 76s 🥈Barnie Skinner. 2nd place on the -120s with really confident lifting after a break from the platform 🥇Max RT. 1st place in the -120s with a huge bench press and securing an invite to Commonwealths

Recognising @char.d.v for their success at the Luxembourg Open in February with team @epapowerlifting . At her first international competition with a short preparation, Charlotte secured Silver in the -84s and a PB on bench. As well as helping team England into first place on both the women's and men's sides. Heading into the rest of the year back into the -76s, we look forward to seeing even more at the English Bench and All England's coming up. Congratulations!

Shout out to @chandranigupta for her performance at the All England's qualifier at the start of the month. With a pivot and a quick preparation, she pulled off 292.5 newly down into the 52s. This also secured her a spot at the upcoming All England's. Congratulations, we can't wait to see how much more she can add there in May!

Bethnal Green showing up strong to this year's British Bench. First up @maxrtsbd hitting a huge 202.5 bench, PB and Bronze position🥉 A real talent and hard working member of the club. On the second day we started with Nicole, who showed real determination and joy on the day. With a spectacular grind, securing the Bronze🥉 Finally, two of our sub-juniors who have really been putting in the work in recent months. Jane achieved a big PB and achieved Gold 🥇 And Alice, who also hit a massive PB and secured the Bronze 🥉 to round off an amazing competition for the BGWLC team. Huge congratulations to all our big benchers 💪🏻💚

BGWLC at the European Powerlifting Federation, Masters Championship 2026 💚 Huge congratulations to all BGWLC athletes who competed at the European Masters in the last couple of weeks. We are all proud of what you have achieved and your excellent representation of team GB and team BGWLC. Clifford "Mac" Macduff @mac_m3_93 Still only a couple of years into his powerlifting career and going strength to strength. Achieving at the highest levels and continuing to push and refine his lifting. Thomas Celestin @thomas.celestin One of the very OG members of the gym. Grafting hard and at the top of his game for decades, and now continuing that into M2. Diego Martinez-Rodney @diego3tl Another long-standing member of the gym, consistently putting in the work leading to his first international. Battling some difficult cards in the lead up and showing everyone how to perform anyway. Reece Smith @reece_120kg A member for over a decade, inspiring all members of the gym with his energy and execution. An outstanding performance for his second masters international. And a shout out of course to not only the Head Coach of BGWLC but also of GB Masters, @deadliftbig . Bringing home team medals across the board with the GB squad.
