Feet have only just touched the ground after an unforgettable evening… On Saturday, I had the incredible privilege of making my debut with The Hallé in Handel’s Messiah. Stepping onto that stage, surrounded by such extraordinary musicians and an audience whose warmth filled the hall, was something I will carry with me for a very long time. I’m so grateful for the trust, support, and kindness I received from everyone involved — and for the chance to share music in a way that felt truly alive and meaningful, with so many people. Thank you to The Hallé, my wonderful colleagues, and everyone in the audience who welcomed us so warmly, as well as to my wonderful family and friends who went out of their way to support me — and finally to the wizard that is @tomdanielhair for making me feel a million dollars. Last month I had the joy of taking part in the inaugural Rebecca Clarke Song Competition alongside my wonderful friend @kurisup 💛 It was a real privilege to explore and perform so many songs by female composers, past and present — discovering so much beautiful and inspiring music along the way. Championing this repertoire feels more important than ever. I’m honoured to have been awarded 2nd place among such a talented group of singers — huge congratulations to all the prize winners and to all the incredible duos in both the semi finals and finals! A magical end to a fabulous festival! Last night we finished our Voices of the North festival with a sell-out evening of opera and musical theatre. Many thanks to those who joined us for our concerts over the week - we had an amazing time and we hope you did too!! 🎉 Huge thanks and congratulations to all our performers as well - every concert was special in its own way and really showed a range of what vocal music can encompass 🎶 Special thanks to all the people behind the scenes, especially Colin and the tech team who really outdid themselves with creating a magical atmosphere inside the concert hall ✨ We'll see you all in autumn! What a wonderful and joy-filled few days it's been. Performing on the @wigmore_hall stage is always such a pleasure but particularly so on this occasion having considered it my musical home for the last 6 months and to top it off with my Paris recital debut at the stunning @salle.cortot has been a total dream.
