As @earlyhalloween has closed its doors, a moment to acknowledge their brilliance and their extraordinary vintage collection. The wall of polaroids was testament to the variety of creatives; music, film and fashion industry legends that have consistently sought inspiration and pieces there. Shooting an editorial usually comes with a list of advertisers, even if not Early Halloween was the place that I would go and find the unique piece that made the difference to the story. Deb would help with the hunt and always got the direction. I wanted to do a whole story using solely their pieces, so much material to work with and though we got close circumstances just don’t always align. I treasure those trips and what they brought. “The matter of our connection to other living creatures is still of crucial importance for our existence, as they are our witnesses.” Charlotte Dumas A friend said when their dog passed on they liked to think it was because their soul was needed elsewhere. Wherever that is for this sweet soul they are lucky to have it. I was blessed to share seven of her eighteen years here as my little buddies, guide and familiar. This kind, funny, gentle being taught me so much; she always found her peace and her huge capacity to love and nurture and receive the same in return helped you heal. Home is very quiet without our small but mighty matriarch as your shadow; she liked to be close by or actually on you. We shared a love for the fire and sun, she and Louis shared a love for naps. Sitting on important paperwork, patterns or anything work related was one of her many unique quirks. It’s surprising how much the loss of a pet hurts and putting them down can feel like a betrayal. Trusting that it is part of life’s rich layers and learning there is still always beauty and lessons in the pain. I hope sweet Jenny is finding her peace in the next realm she is deeply missed here.

Moon Music landing October 4th 🚀 The clothing look for this album was launched in Budapest back in June on The Music of The Spheres world tour. @appliedartforms base garments customized with bespoke developed prints and embroideries. Shoes, a bespoke collaboration with @helenkirkumstudio , customized @rickowensonline , @axelarigato and @cariuma . At a time when I’ve felt a yearning for creativity as well as hoping for a positive impact in my work, it’s a privilege to be involved. To get to witness first hand, on tour the infectious happiness, pure joy and love the show radiates and the palpable ripple effect that can have on a planet that is so desperately in need of healing. I’m always blown away with how they manage to create community and intimacy in a vast stadium of thousands. Grateful to @coldplay for giving me this opportunity to amplify the band’s messaging through clothing, inspiring and steering me into new avenues through their direction, collaboration, input and their trust and loyalty. All of this was only possible with my amazing team below, as well as support from some of the brilliant local tailors that stepped in. @nataschastolle (the most solid and fun co pilot in this mammoth process), #NoorKhazem, @stephanieachonwa , @sadiewilliams_studio , @noa.zarfati , @martajakubowski , @swityshinde all of whose skills, creativity and commitment were invaluable and supportive in this process. From Amsterdam, Singapore, Rome, Budapest to Athens getting to know and work alongside the extraordinary tour crew (a family who were always ready to help) and observing the mechanics behind this colossal, meticulously run, incredible show.
