🇦🇺 Every year I love going back to Navarra to taste the new vintages and new wines from this great wine producing region of Spain. Every time the wines are even better and reflect their origins even more. To communicate this better, this year I have included the names of the towns or municipalities for wines which come from one area in particular. It’s worth the effort to know the region better! 🇦🇺 Today I am finally announcing that the first edition of the New Europe Wine Guide to Serbia is published! And it can now be downloaded FREE from the New Europe Wine Guide website (in link in bio). In December I went to Belgrade to taste 268 wines from 62 producers that all feature in this guide with scores and tasting notes.
A huge thank you to @dnevnadozavina who helped coordinate all the communication with the producers. He is a top Serbian sommelier and wine educator, and his insight was invaluable. Thanks also to @jovana0201 and her team at @supernovavinoteka wine distributor/retailer and @balkan_wine_center who received the samples and gave me a space to taste for 3 days.
Next on the agenda… Slovenia in April!

🇪🇸 Hoy publico por fin la primera edición de la New Europe Wine Guide sobre Serbia. Y ya se puede descargar GRATIS desde la web de New Europe Wine Guide (enlace en la bio). En diciembre fui a Belgrado para catar 268 vinos de 62 productores, todos en esta guía con puntuaciones y notas de cata.
Un enorme agradecimiento a @dnevnadozavina , que ayudó a coordinar toda la comunicación con los productores. Es un top sumiller y educador del vino serbio, y su conocimiento fue fundamental. Gracias también a @jovana0201 y a su equipo en @supernovavinoteka , distribuidor/tienda de vinos, y en @balkan_wine_center , quienes recibieron las muestras y me dejaron un espacio para catar durante 3 días.

Somehow we’ve spent days intensely debating, swirling, sniffing and managing/judging nearly 17000 wines… and it’s honestly a miracle we still enjoy each other’s company.
